Hematite

These bubbly-looking Hematites were among my favorite as a child, mesmerizing as to how something like this could be found in the earth. I obtained this in a trade years ago and do not know the locality. Lustrous black surface on this solid piece of Hematite, with a more reddish color visible on the sides.
