Alexandrite

Double terminated Alexandrite crystal with sixling twinning evident on the termination faces. Color change from green to purple in indoor/outdoor lighting. Although it is only lightly translucent, what makes this crystal special is a wonderful, shimmering chatoyancy that can be observed on the prism faces when you turn back and forth under lighting.
