Large cluster of cris-crossing smokey Quartz crystals known as 'Gitter Quartz' (a German name for fence or lattice Quartz). The Quartz crystals form epitaxially on Feldspar in a lattice of doubly-terminated crystals. The Erongo Mountains is the only locality I'm aware of that produces this style of unusual Quartz specimens. This is an excellent large example from the Charlie Key collection. Hard to find in this size and quality.
