Large single Tourmaline crystal from the famous Himalaya Mine in San Diego, California. This is a big, interesting crystal. The termination has a mixture of flat crystal faces and etched surfaces. You can also see a slight bend in the crystal, which is sometimes seen in Himalaya Mine Tourmaline and caused by natural fracturing and rehealing during growth. It's a green crystal but has a thin outer rind of pink around a translucent to transparent interior (see last photo, view from bottom). Good as a specimen but could also be used for carving. Weighs 55.74 grams.
