Deep red Almandine garnet crystals to 1.2cm in a schist matrix. These look similar to those from the well known Wrangell Island locality in Alaska, but they are from the Bella Vista Mine, an island located very close to Wrangell. This is one of the best examples I've seen from the locality with 3 fine garnets of deep purple/red coloration. The Almandine are lustrous and undamaged.
