Glassy Red Beryl crystal on a Rhyolite matrix. The crystal forms a sharp hexagonal prism with a smooth, flat termination. The crystal is 10 x 5 mm and well formed. There is irregular growth or chipping along the termination edges - I think it's irregular growth as similar forms seen present on the front edge are also present along the back edge between the crystal and the matrix where no damage would be expected.
