Large cluster of golden, translucent Trona crystals on matrix. Trona is an uncommon carbonate mineral found in the saline lakes of eastern California and is the primary source of sodium carbonate in the United States. This is a superb, large example of with large crystals of high quality. Found by John Seibel in the 1990s and considered to be some of the finest crystals of the species. I remember seeing specimens of this size and quality selling for over $1000 in Tucson decades ago.
