Impressive, large twinned gemmy, lustrous Sphene (Titanite) crystal from Capelinha, Brazil. Large crystals of this size are hard to find. The crystal is 8.5cm tall and has areas of both transluceny and transparency. Very interesting growth features are present on one side, with smaller Sphene crystals and Epidote attached to the other side. Complete all around crystal with a couple edge chips that keep the price way down. Old label indicates it was purchased for $400 back in 2001.
