Calcite on Tanzanite (DT)

Glassy gem Zoisite crystal known as Tanzanite. This is a fabulous trichroic crystal of blue, purple, and light red (up the C-axis). This is also an uncommon doubly-terminated crystal, fully crystallized all around and undamaged. Sometimes crystals with broken then rehealed bottoms are called 'doubly-terminated'. As seen in the last two photos, this one has an excellent true termination on the bottom. A bit of white Calcite and Graphite crystals are attached on one side. Weighs 19.89 carats.
