Single gem-quality Tanzanite crystal from the Merelani Hills Tanzanite mines. This is a glassy, highly transparent crystal. Has a medium lavender/blue coloration in the upper areas with a darker pure blue at the base. Weighs 5.17 carats and is transparent enough to cut small gemstones.
