Large blue Halite with a superb deep blue color. This is a transparent Halite specimen with flat cleavage faces on four sides (like blue glass inside). When backlit you can see the incredible color. Due to the depth the light travels through the crystal, it's more blue in one direction and more purply blue in the other (though not so apparent in the photos). There is also a thin zone of colorless Halte on top (or possibly Sylvanite). The blue color is the result of exposure to natural radiation prior to mining. These are reportedly no longer being found. Was priced at $350 in my regular website galleries.
