Specimen of vivid blue, translucent Krohnkite from Chile. Krohnkite is a rare sulfate and this specimen is from the Type locality for the species. For shear color, it's hard to match the the crazy neon blue of this mineral (maybe Paraiba Tourmaline?). This is a thick seam of solid Krohnkite without matrix, a lamellar growth of crystals in parallel formation. Beautiful old time specimen!!!
