Specimen of vivid blue, translucent Krohnkite from Chile. Krohnkite is a rare sulfate and this specimen is from the Type locality for the species. For shear color, it's hard to match the the crazy neon blue of this mineral. This is a solid specimen of Krohnkite without matrix, a lamellar growth of crystals in parallel formation. Beautiful old time specimen! This was the best specimen from a small lot recently acquired.
