Red Spinel crystals in white marble. The color of these Spinel crystals is superb - a well saturated pure red color. The crystals are translucent, undamaged, and reach 1cm in size. There are also Graphite crystals in the matrix. From a small prospect mined in 1994 by Cal Graeber and John Saul from which about 30 specimens were recovered. Comes with two old labels. Ex. Carl Acosta collection. Carl acquired it from the George Holloway collection in approximately 2010.
