Purple Amethyst crystals from a remote California locality that occasionally produces fine Amethyst specimens. These are collected on steep mountain sides and cliffs and and not easy to get, and therefore not often seen for sale. Solid purple crystals such as these are the desirable type as many from the locality have an outer layer of milky Quartz that tends to hide the Amethyst within.
