A single pseudomorph of Hematite after garnet adorned with black cubes of Bixbyite. Bixbyite was named after Maynard Bixby, a collector and mineral dealer who collected minerals in the Thomas Range. The Maynard Mine is the Type locality for the species. The Bixbyite cubes reach 4mm in size. Unusual thumbnail specimen!!
