Single crystal of translucent yellow Amblygonite from Brazil. Amblygonite is a rare lithium-aluminum phosphate species that is not commonly seen in fine display quality crystals. This crystal has large, flat faces on the front and sides and etched surfaces on the bottom half - it appears to be a floater. These are not commonly seen and I bought the entire pocket that was available at this year's Tucson show. Out of the 25 or so crystals available, this was only one of two with this deep yellow color. A rarity for a thumbnail collector or gem crystal collector.
