Outstanding large purple Coquimbite crystals and smaller clusters of brown Krausite crystals from recent finds at the Monte Arsiccio Mine in Italy. The Monte Arisiccio Mine is an old iron mine that worked Barite, Pyrite, and iron oxide ore bodies. Along with other uncommon sulfate minerals, this mine has produced what are in my opinion the world's best Coquimbite specimens. The Coquimbite crystals reach 1.7cm in size and have incredibly rich purple coloration that contrasts well against the white matrix. These specimens should be kept sealed in plastic bags or boxes or otherwise be kept from high humidity or moisture. This specimen comes mounted in a plastic box.
