Single octahedral Alabandite crystal with relatively smooth and sharp faces. Merelani Alabandites are easily the world's largest and best examples of the species. A rarity that I've not seen lately at shows or from suppliers, this one having been purchased many years ago. It's possible they are no longer being found. Though not large for the locality, it's very sharply formed and in good condition.
