Colorful and good sized specimen of Emeralds, silvery metallic Molybdenite, Biotite, tan Feldspar, and unidentified elongated grey crystals. The combination of Emeralds and Molybdenite is rare, possibly only occurring at this locality. From MINDAT: 'The mica schists of CarnaÃba, discovered in the 1960s, may contain the most extensive emerald deposits in the world. The emerald discoveries, concentrated in the Pindobaçu municipality, 30 kilometres south of Campo Formoso, are considered to be the most important deposits to have been found to date in Brazil. The deposits are globally known as CarnaÃba. Mining in CarnaÃba is presently undergoing difficulties and production is declining. Almost all the vertical shafts have reached a depth of 150 metres; water is continuously infiltrating the work front, forcing the garimpeiros into an endless pumping ordeal.'
