Well formed single crystal of Chrysoberyl var. Alexandrite attached to a small amount of mica schist. The crystal is sharply formed and 2.2cm in diameter. The crystal is complete on front and back but broke away from another crystal on one side. Without the contact this would be an expensive crystal, but even in this condition it's worth $200-$300 for the excellent form. It's translucent along the edges and can be displayed to not show the contact.
