Complete 'citrus' orange Spessartine crystal from old finds in Tanzania. These were mostly found as partial or damaged crystals with complete crystals such as this much less common. Equant form with no significant damage - I found a few small chips. Translucent with great color and importantly, this has gem value inside. It appears a little dark from the surface, but backlighting shows transparent areas within. Weighs 35.75 grams (a little over 178 carats).
