Fine thumbnail-sized Gaudyroyite specimen. This is a stout single crystal, thicker and larger than most. Gaudefroyite is a rare species found in the Kalahari Manganese fields, most commonly as thinner, needle-like crystals. Fat crystals such as this were uncommon.
