Silica rich matrix with Quartz and numerous areas of bright yellow Karpatite. Karpatite is an uncommon organic mineral, which is also fluorescent. Small red flecks of Cinnabar are also present. The Karpatite is exposed on many areas of the specimen. A neat California rarity found close to the Benitoite Gem Mine. Mined years ago by Rick Kennedy and Dan Evanich.
