Sharp, double-terminated floater crystal of Gypsum. This came out of an old collection with a label indicating it was found at the north end
of the Great Salt Lake. The Great Salt Lake is the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere. The salinity is very high, ranging from 5 to 27% as
compared to 3.5% for the oceans, so high you can easily float in the water. I remember being amazed by this while floating in the lake as a boy. Undamaged.
