A classic combination of multiple sulfide species from what was once one of the largest Zinc producing localities in the U.S.
The Eagel Mine was known for its dark black variety of Iron rich Sphalerite known as Marmatite. This specimen is a floater
consisting of mainly Sphalerite with white Ankerite (Iron rich Dolomite), Pyrite, and Galena crystals. A true All-American
locality specimen from the now closed Eagle Mine and good sized.
