New find of unusual, tapering Quartz crystals. The crystal has a red and yellow core and a transparent outer layer. The red/yellow zone is filled with dense clusters of criss-crossing acicular crystals of an
unidentified species. The lower outer zone also has inclusions of a metallic, platy mineral, possilby Hematite.Part of the backside has incomplete over growth of the outer clear layer revealing the inner first generation crystal.
Complete all around and undamaged except for two partial crystals attached to the backside. Valued at $150.
