Satiny orange/red Spessartine from China. This is a well known locality for Spessartine, most famous for the combinations of small orange Spessartine on Smokey Quartz crystals. This specimen is from a recent find of slightly larger than typical sized Spessartine for the locality. This is a fine single crystal emplaced atop Feldspar. Undamaged and complete all around. Translucent red with a satiny striated surface.
