Satiny orange/red Spessartine from China. This is a well known locality for Spessartine, most famous for the combinations of small orange Spessartine on Smokey Quartz crystals. This specimen is from a recent find of slightly larger than typical sized Spessartine for the locality. This is a cluster of crystals with a bit of attached Feldspar. The main crystal is 1.2cm in diameter. Translucent red with a satiny striated surface.
