Crystals of Tsavorite and Pyrite on Graphite. Colorful specimen of green garnet and golden metallic Pyrite. Tsavorite is a chrome and vanadium rich variety of Grossular from East Africa and is one of the most valuable types of garnet found anywhere. This specimen was found at the Merelani Tanzanite mines and is a fine example of some of minerals found at this locality. Glassy and bright Tsavorite crystals on this specimen!
