Red Villiaumite crystal in matrix from the type locality for the species. MINDAT: type locality for villiaumite is located at the northern part of the island where Mr. Villiaume blasted in an outcrop of pegmatitic nepheline syenite and collected material for the french mineralogist Afred Lacroix (around 1908). Ex. Chuck Trantham collection, purchased from Al McGuinness decades ago.
