Spessartine

Large deep orange crystal amazingly complete and symetrical. Complete all around with only one tiny chip at one corner. This is from the original find. While it's true that alot of these garnets have come to market, the best quality were from the first batches.  This one obviously is not representative of the very top quality due the black Braunite inclusions, however its sharpness and excellent form make it better than most. I purchased this long ago and only now rediscovered it an an old mineral flat. High degree of sharpness and luster for this find. There are also many gem areas of transparent orange. Valued at $500-$700.
