Superb bi-color Tanzanite crystal from a new find at Merelani. Transparent yellow over a purple/blue base. Such bi-color crystals are unusual, this one among the very best of this find. Along with the excellent transparency, the surface luster of the crystal is also excellent. Illustrated in the Sept.-Oct. 2009 issue of the Mineralogical Record (Figure 114, page 397).
