Terminated deep green Chromian rich Diopside crystal. This crystal came from a pocket opened in December 2007 that produced crystals of exceptional color, much better than typical Merelani Diopsides. For more information on this find, refer to page 77 of the January-February 2009 issue of the Mineralogical Record. Great luster and very gemmy with a small area of contacting on one side near the termination, size 3.1 x 1 x 0.7 cm.
