Spessartine

1cm Spessartine crystal in mica matrix. I bought this a couple years ago when the find was first made. It was very striking because the exceptional bright citrus orange color, however I set it aside because there is a small gap (less than 1mm) between the crystal and the matrix in one area which makes me suspect the crystal may have fallen out and was reattached. I just came across this piece again and decided to post it because it just so striking in appearance, the color is so great. There are additional smaller crystals in the mica also.
